What happens to all that leftover bread at HEB? The Bread Project!
An SHPC outreach for several years, The Bread Project is a team of people who take turns picking up bread and baked goods each day from the Oak Hill and Brodie Lane HEB Stores. They deliver them to a community center in East Austin or the West Rural Community Center in Oak Hill, where the food is provided to the needy members of the Austin Community.
