Welcome to UpStreet!

UpStreet is offered on Sundays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and from 11 a.m. -12

UpStreet, a program for Kindergarten through 5th graders, builds further on the foundational principles taught during the preschool years in The Ark. It is based on a small group/large group format, utilizing a large group for Bible storytelling and worship and a small group for personal interaction as kids learn to apply Biblical truths to their own lives. UpStreet covers one virtue a month for three years, so by the time a child attends the years between Kindergarten and 5th grade, they will have covered all 36 virtues twice, as well as over 150 Scripture stories.

We hope that by using this curriculum as foundational teaching of our Christian faith, every child who attends UpStreet will grow up to say:

We believe these three basic principles teach wisdom, faith and friendship. We want our young disciples to make wise choices, so will teach them that if they trust and follow Jesus, spend more time getting to know God, do what God says and discover God’s unique plan for their life, then they will have a good foundation for making the wise choice in their day-to-day activities throughout life. Similarly, we believe that by teaching them that God, in God’s sovereignty, is our creator, parent, guide and savior, they can build a faith in which they trust God no matter what. Finally, we want them to learn the value of friendship and treating others how they want to be treated. We teach that they can do this by showing God’s love to those around them, by caring enough to put others before themselves, by respecting the authority figures that God puts into their lives and by being a real friend to those around them.
